Calvin’s path to becoming a lawyer was anything but conventional—and that perspective shapes the way he approaches every case. Before joining Kerrane Storz, Calvin built a career across multiple industries, including civil litigation, criminal defense, government service, defense contracting, and information technology. He has worked as an emergency dispatcher, supported logistics operations for U.S. troops, and served in IT roles for both his undergraduate and graduate universities. Along the way, he developed a reputation for staying calm under pressure, solving complex problems, and advocating fiercely for the people depending on him. Calvin has successfully taken on governmental entities in litigation, including prevailing in a public-records lawsuit on behalf of a news organization. Most recently, he practiced criminal defense from pre-indictment investigations through appeals, where he briefed, argued, and won a pro bono appellate case. Today, Calvin brings that same determination and real-world experience to representing homeowners, homeowners associations, and property owners facing serious construction defects. Clients appreciate his practical mindset, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to helping people navigate difficult situations. Outside the office, Calvin enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with his wife and family—although friends and family have learned not to leave him unsupervised in Williams Sonoma.
