Water Intrusion
In homes and multi-family residential communities, water can be one of the greatest evils. The exterior of a building is the first mechanism to keep the elements out of a building and keep its occupants safe, comfortable, and dry. When water gets into places it is not intended to be, severe damage and risk to the safety of a building’s occupants can occur. Water that enters into a building envelope can cause window and door leaks, damage to framing members and wall substrates, damage to drywall and finishes, and in some cases, bio-organic growth and mold.
