January 1, 2020 -- Celebrating more than 20 years representing property owners and community associations with construction defect claims, Benson, Kerrane, Storz & Nelson has changed its name to Kerrane Storz to reflect the firm's current ownership. The firm was founded by Doug Benson in 1999 when he opened up the Colorado Office. The firm expanded to add a Texas office in 2014. In 2015 and 2018 Doug Benson and Alex Nelson retired from practicing law to pursue other interests. Jeff Kerrane and Heidi Storz, the owners of the firm, have been practicing construction defect law together since 2000. Along with the name change, the firm has adopted a new logo which includes an abstract, single-line logo mark intended to visually depict the different types of property ownership most commonly involved in the firm's cases. The logo mark depicts single-family, multi-family, and commercial/high-rise buildings. Since they have started working together in 2000, Jeff Kerrane and Heidi Storz have recovered well over $400 million for their construction defect clients.
