Help Plant Hope, Sponsor a Pinwheel

by Jessica Meeker Giving Back

April 9, 2014

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and outside our offices here at Benson, Kerrane, Storz & Nelson we have planted our very own Pinwheel Garden to show our support through the Ralston House.

The Ralston House is a non-profit that provides a friendly and safe place for children and teens who have been abused to tell their stories and begin to heal.  Ralston House is a child-friendly place that is less “scary” than a police department which allows children and teens to be able to tell their stories without being re-traumatized in the process.

AnnMarie Spain, an attorney at BKSN, is on the Board of Directors at the Ralston House. “I was a prosecutor in the Family Violence Unit and recognized a need to protect our most vulnerable victims.”  The pinwheels are an effort to raise awareness of child abuse prevention. Pinwheels are $5 each and the money raised will go towards prevention education and support. Check it out here, how you can plant your very own Pinwheel Garden and support child abuse prevention during the month of April.
