Plaintiff Construction Defect Litigation Attorney – Irving, Texas
We are seeking a licensed Texas attorney to represent homeowners, community associations and other property owners in construction defect cases against shoddy builders and their insurance companies.
Our cases are large, complex, and multi-party, so we are looking for an attorney with an adventurous spirit who will not be intimidated by taking deposition or even going to trial in their first year with our firm. We do not expect you to have any construction experience. However, you will work closely with expert engineers, architects and contractors to learn the building science issues in each case. This job requires strong writing and legal research skills, excellent analytical skills, common sense, and initiative. We are looking for someone who wants to be a plaintiff-side litigator, enjoys a challenge, thinks creatively, communicates well, and wants to be an efficient, aggressive champion for our clients.
We have a flexible, relaxed, and cooperative atmosphere, with our attorneys working as a team on each case. Because we are primarily a contingency fee firm, we have no hourly billing requirements. Moreover, our attorneys are regularly involved in business development activities such as golfing, sport clay shooting, teaching educational classes, and occasionally traveling to conferences. For these reasons, our firm offers an excellent work-life blend.
Our firm is a tier one ranked “Best Law Firm” from U.S. News, and our attorneys have received many awards including Best Lawyers by U.S. News, Top 100 Super Lawyers, Martindale Hubble, and many others.
We have generous benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as 401(k) plan and self-managed PTO. Discretionary bonuses may include a combination of an annual bonus, profit sharing, college savings or student loan payments, cash balance plan, and personal health savings account.
Interested candidates should submit their résumé, cover letter, and a list of references. If you graduated less than two years ago, please also include an unofficial law school transcript and a writing sample.
